Metro South Health Oral Health (MSOH) provides high quality general, specialist and emergency dental care delivered from a suite of oral health facilities, hospitals, community outreach clinics and schools within the Metro South HHS boundaries.
MSOH aims to consolidate some of its clinics into two single, purpose designed and fit facilities at Logan Central and Woolloongabba. These centres will become the two hub sites for the southern and northern LGAs for MSOH.
The Oral Health Consolidation Project was derived from a Strategic Review of Oral Health Services undertaken in 2014. The project consisted of the following components:
The hub sites will provide a centralised sterilisation service for dental services based on key variables including location and distance within the Hospital Network and to the Woolloongabba or Logan facility.
The facility at Logan Central will incorporate 10 dental chairs and enable consideration of consolidation of nearby school clinics.
The facility at Woolloongabba will bring together the clinics from Yeronga, Holland Park, and South Brisbane to provide a multi-chair, multi-purpose, integrated clinic providing family centred oral health care that serve as a hub to the satellite clinics. It will include 26 dental chairs.
